BETTER DECISIONS FASTER

Agility - Making Better Decisions Faster

We normally think of agility as a physical attribute, in other words, the ability to move quickly and easily. What if we were to apply this type of thinking to your business; the ability to think, understand and act quickly about situations or opportunities that present themselves to your organization. This applies to both negative and positive forces being applied to your business and the ability to respond quickly can be the make or break of the situation or opportunity.

To enable this type of organizational agility – what is required?

  • A collaborative approach to distributing the work

  • Accurate and real-time access to information allowing analysis

  • High functioning teams to help collate the data across the various functions – prepare findings and make recommendations

  • A corporate culture that allows all of the above to happen

If you find yourself having to keep asking questions and thereby delaying the decision – is your company suffering from the inability to make a decision?

This could result in missing opportunities or causing damage to the business by not reacting quickly enough to a negative situation – you want to overcome this decision paralysis.

This agility enables confident decision making that will inspire your teams, as you have collaborated with them, even if you do not use their recommendations (you will need to explain why), they will feel energized as they have been, heard and feel part of the process. This is a great way to build teams and culture that will permeate through all reaches of the organization.

Have the data, analyze it, get recommendations, act quickly, confidently and move on.
